City Tour
We had our city tour last March 14,2008, together with our seminar. That is the most awaited moment of us all and aside from that we had our buffet lunch right after the seminar. So after taking our lunch, its time to see and tour the wonders of Cebu. First, we visit Fort San Pedro.
Fort San Pedro is the oldest and smallest fort in the Philippines. Built by the Spaniards. Then we stop at Cathedral church, and I say a prayer while I'm there. The Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is the ecclesiastical seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cebu was established as a diocese in August 14, 1595 and was elevated as a metropolitan archdiocese in April 28, 1934. Next, we passed through Santo Niño church and have a walked to Magellan Cross. I lighted up a candle and having a short prayer at church of the Señor Santo Niño de Cebu–which translates literally as “holy child of Cebu.” Ferdinand Magellan planted a huge Christian cross in Sugbu (now Cebu) to celebrate the baptism into the Roman Catholic religion. Afterwards, having a long hour to stay in downtown of Cebu, we directly go through our next destination which is the Casa Gorordo. As what Ive seen at Casa Gorordo, it is really an old house wich is the settings is like the movie of "Patayin sa sindak si barbara",hehhe.yeah it's true, its kind of a wierd place but most prehistoric and quite ambiguous place. After leaving Casa Gorordo, I'm excited to travel to our next destination, the "Taoist temple", Its nice to be back after such a long time. The temple is the worship of Taoism, the religion which follows the teaching of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tze. It's really a nice place and see the pictures over views of Cebu city. You can feel the fresh air waving against your hair. Obviously, picture taking is always there and having a diffrent kind of pose over the views. It's really a nice tour indeed.
